Marcus Vinicius Goncalves, CFA

Mr. Marcus Vinicius Goncalves is the Sales Head - US Offshore and Brazil for Franklin Templeton. He leads the business in both markets, covering local as well as cross-border product offering for retail and institutional clients.

Mr. Goncalves joined the Franklin Templeton organization in 2000 as vice-president of Templeton do Brasil in Sao Paulo (Brazil), where he was responsible for launching, developing and executing the strategy for Offshore Distribution in the country. In 2004, he was transferred to Miami, Florida, where he spent 9 years as Director of Investment Channels for the Americas region, before moving back to his native country in 2013 to lead the business there. In 2023, he moved back to Miami yet again, this time to oversee the US Offshore division, while also maintaining responsibility for the Brazilian initiatives of the firm.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Goncalves was employed by Banco Bradesco in Sao Paulo as a portfolio manager for local Equity Funds.

Mr. Goncalves holds B.A. degrees both in Economics and Law from the Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) and a Masters in Economics from Insper (Brazil). He also holds a Series 7, 63 and 24. Mr. Goncalves is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and an active member of the Brazilian mutual fund association (Anbima).
